Lucky Strike box designed by 'El Ultimo Grito' and goldsmiths 'Richard Fox Associates'.

AMSTERDAM.- Lucky Strike has always been a design icon and to celebrate this passion for creativity, BAT International has announced the release of a one off pack of Lucky Strike in a design expressive of contemporary life in 2006. The stunning pack, with an estimated retail value of US$100,000, is made of 18ct white gold and is studded with a single large diamond and a precious ruby. It will be showcased in major international airports in 2006 including Frankfurt in September, Düsseldorf in November and Munich in December 2006.
This piece of art has been created together with Spanish design duo 'El Ultimo Grito' and goldsmiths 'Richard Fox Associates'. 'El Ultimo Grito', have won many international awards for their creations, some of which have been included in the Victoria and Albert and Amsterdam's Stedelijk Museum permanent collections.
The realization of the pack was commissioned to 'Richard Fox Associates', a jewelry design specialist behind such high profile pieces as the FIA Formula 1 Constructors', Driver's and World Rally trophies.
Lucky Strike's iconic logo has always been an inspiration for artists and designers from Raymond Loewy, who recreated the bull's eye as we know it today, to others such as Keith Haring, Richard Blake, Stuart Davies and Mel Ramos to name but a few.
In addition to the one-off pack, a series of limited edition packs based on this creative design will be launched for exclusive sale in selected European Airports.
