ATLANTA.- Montblanc will host contemporary artist Daniel Bottero in its Lenox Square Boutique on Wednesday evening September 6th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Bottero will be in Atlanta to open an exhibition of his new series of paintings -- The Love of the Poet -- in the Naomi Silva Gallery on September 8. Jan-Patrick Schmitz, CEO and President, says, "We are pleased by the opportunity to celebrate the work of Bottero amid the beauty and artistry that is represented by Montblanc." This year Montblanc celebrates 100 years of dedication to the highest standards of perfection and master craftsmanship.

Art critic Donald Kuspit writes, "Bottero's paintings are romantic in every sense of the word: they convey intimacy, spirituality, color, aspiration towards the infinite -- the core values of romanticism." Kuspit said, "Bottero, is what Baudelaire called a poet painter, that is a painter which uses the medium to convey poetry of his emotions, indeed, of his temperament."

Bottero's works are held by both private and corporate collectors worldwide. Collectors include Oscar de la Hoya, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Dan Marino, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Al Pacino and Steven Segal. Corporate collectors include Citibank, Xerox, Avon, Merrill Lynch and Chase Manhattan.

Bottero paintings are on exhibit in many museums including The Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art, Museum of Latin American Art, Laguna Beach, Museo de Arte de Ponce, Puerto Rico and The Cultural Center of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

"It is a privilege to present my new series to art enthusiasts in Atlanta. It is an honor to have the opportunity to share my paintings with those who also know the strong and often complex, emotions of love, loss and hope that we each have in our hearts," Bottero said.
