SÃO PAULO.- Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel and HOA proudly announce RAW!, a concurrent and intersectional group exhibition showcasing the works of artists from both galleries, set across two warehouses in Barra Funda.

In a shared effort to foster exchanges and explore horizontal organizational models, Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel and HOA unite artists from different generations, blending their diverse approaches, languages, and media into a singular exhibition spanning both gallery spaces. RAW! serves as a platform for converging dialogues between emerging and established artists, expressed through a range of media from video to sculpture. The exhibition features diverse practices encompassing installation, audiovisual, and pictorial categories.

HOA hosts an immersive sculpture by Ernesto Neto alongside works by Nidia Aranha, and also launched the inaugural in-person edition of fdag-film, Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel’s digital platform for moving images and video art. The exhibition showcases pieces by artists such as Babi Mello, biarritzzz, Caio Rosa, Cristiano Lenhardt, Ernesto Neto, Ivens Machado, Janaina Tschäpe, Nico Mascarenhas, Rivane Neuenschwander, Rodrigo Cass, and Sara Ramo, among others. Themes of body, nature, movement, and technology intertwine in compositions that disrupt established narratives by overlapping time scales.

At the FDAG warehouse, the exhibition features paintings, photographs, sculptures, and assemblages that create a space defined by tensions between color, texture, and materiality. Works by Ana Clara Tito and Iah Bahia juxtapose construction materials with delicate fabrics, while Igi Lola Ayedun, Anderson Borba, and Almeida da Silva present surfaces rich with textural information, reimagining the materiality of their mediums. Beatriz Milhazes, Janaina Tschäpe, Leda Catunda, Mariana Rocha, and Marina Rheingantz contribute compositions suggesting expansion and movement, conveying a vital rhythm that connects dreamlike visions. Paintings by Bertô, Márcia Falcão, and Mika Takahashi exhibit marked gestures reflecting the physical process of their creation, while everyday materials are recontextualized in the urban-themed works of Antonio Tarsis and Derrete.

The curated selection at FDAG and HOA continues with pieces by A Loja de Atrocidades and Hawnee, whose varied elements create a disorienting simultaneity, contrasting with the metaphysical solitude of Efrain Almeida’s sculpture and the allegorical tranquility of Mauro Restiffe and Rafaela Kennedy’s everyday photography. Sculptures by Cristiano Lenhardt, Erika Verzutti, and Labö Young reimagine elements of vernacular architecture, evoking organic silhouettes through volumetric and textural experiences. Concluding the exhibition, the works of Janice Mascarenhas and Nídia Aranha blur the line between the human and the non-human, referencing reproductive technology and objecthood through critical performances oscillating between subject and object.
