NEW YORK, NY.- Christie’s presents Handbags Online: The New York Edit. The auction features a curated edit of rare and exceptional handbags from top luxury houses including Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton that includes covetable styles for every collector. The sale will be open for bidding from May 30th and will close on June 13th. All offerings will be on exhibition at Christie’s New York from June 6th to 11th.

The sale is led by extremely rare and precious Hermès styles including three Faubourg Sellier Birkin 20 bags –each in signature colorways including Day: A Rare, Ébène Faubourg du Jour Sellier Birkin 20 With Palladium Hardware (Estimate $120,000-150,000) Snow: A Rare, Béton Faubourg Sous la Neige Sellier Birkin 20 With Palladium Hardware (Estimate $120,000-180,000) and Night: A Rare, Bleu Marine Faubourg au Nuit Sellier Birkin 20 With Palladium Hardware (Estimate $100,000-150,000). Additional highlights include a stand-out Exceptional Shiny Black Porosus Crocodile Diamond Birkin 25 with 18K White Gold & Diamond Hardware (Estimate $100,000-150,000), a rare Matte White Niloticus Crocodile Himalaya Retourné Kelly 28 With Palladium Hardware (Estimate $90,000-120,000), a Sterling Silver Kellymorphose Sac Bijou d’Argent (Estimate $80,000-120,000), and a limited-edition Mushroom Swift Leather & Osier Wicker Picnic Mini Kelly 20 With Palladium Hardware (Estimate $30,000-40,000).

The sale also includes a selection of handbags featuring artist collaboration editions and playful runway styles also on offer: from Yayoi Kusama, Alex Katz and Jeff Koons for Louis Vuitton to Chanel egg cartons and footballs.

The sale showcases a range of rare vintage Haute Couture and ready-to-wear clothing, along with fashion jewelry from Chanel - catering to every style and budget – many of which are offered without reserve.
