WOKING.- Classic and contemporary designs come together to provide the perfect inspiration for those looking for that special Christmas gift in the Jewellery & Watches auction at
Ewbanks on December 6.
The sale is expected to fetch up to £333,000, and stand-out lots begin with an Edwardian diamond drop pendant, featuring an old mine cut diamond weighing an estimated 3.72 carats.
The large diamond is suspended from a rose cut diamond set bale with four old cut diamonds set beneath. The claw set tests as platinum, and the whole is suspended on a base metal and pearl chain. At 38cm long and in a fitted box, the estimate is £4,000-8,000.
Renowned designer Kat Florence is known for her exquisite and high-end jewellery creations, making a name for herself in the world of luxury jewellery through her commitment to crafting exceptional pieces that feature rare gemstones of exceptional quality.
Three pieces here prove the point. The first is a tanzanite and diamond ring, with central oval cut tanzanite weighing a stated 1.83 carats, with diamonds set to the top and bottom, and diamond accented shoulders, in platinum, with inbuilt 18 ct sizing clip. It comes with Kat Florence paperwork, box and outer box, with an estimate of £3,000-5,000.
A Kat Florence pink tourmaline and diamond ring comes with the same guide. It features a central oval cut pink tourmaline weighing a stated 1.13 carats, claw set with diamond accented claws, with diamond shoulders in 18 ct, with inbuilt sizing clip. It also comes with the relevant paperwork, box and outer box.
A very striking pavé set diamond ring by the designer has a total stated weight of 1.56 carats, with stated D Flawless diamonds and in-built 18 ct sizing clip, in platinum. Again, it comes with Kat Florence paperwork, box, and outer box, and an estimate of £3,000-5,000.
Also among the contemporary designs is a square shaped diamond bangle, claw set with 86 round brilliant diamonds, with a total stated weight of 4.77 carats. It has a concealed box clasp and safety clip, and is stamped 18 ct. Its inside diameter is 57.5mm x 54.5mm. It comes with a box and outer box and is pitched at £3,000-5,000.
A tanzanite and diamond pendant necklace, its central claw set oval cut tanzanite weighing an estimated 6.94 carats, has a surround of channel set round brilliant diamonds, with an estimated total weight of 1.25 carats, in an 18 ct mount with makers mark B&M, on a 47cm long, 18 ct gold wheat link chain. It carries hopes of £2,500-3,500.
Opals always make for eye-catching designs; here an opal and diamond necklace is no exception. Four round cabochon opals surround an old cut diamond and are in turn surrounded by old mixed cut diamonds. The design is completed by two drops set with diamonds and a pear cabochon opal to the bottom, integrated on a trace link chain with safety clip in white metal testing as 9 ct. The estimate is £1,500-2,500.
We have put together a sparkling catalogue of beautiful designs for the discerning eye, with many of the pieces being rare or unique creations using diamonds, rubies and other precious stones from the golden age of jewellery making, said Senior Partner Andrew Ewbank.
