RAMALLAH.- Zawyeh Gallery announced the opening of the Sliman Mansour: Limited Edition exhibition in Ramallah. The exhibition showcases 21 iconic artworks by Sliman Mansour, carefully curated from his extensive work spanning his artistic career since the 1970s.

The exhibition features a unique collection of hand-signed limited-edition prints, exhibited for the first time. The complete collection of artworks is available online, providing a broader audience with the opportunity to view and potentially acquire pieces that capture the essence of Mansour’s work.

Ziad Anani, Founder and Director of Zawyeh Gallery, emphasized that the exhibition celebrates the art of Sliman Mansour and his profound portrayal of Palestinian resilience, identity, and connection to the land. The exhibition provides an exceptional chance for the audience to view Mansour's artworks, including some of his early works from the 70s and 80s. He adds that what makes this exhibition unique is the opportunity to see a selection of Mansour’s masterpieces all in one place, especially given the artist’s limited production and artistic presence during the past period. While Mansour’s works have found homes in museums and private collections worldwide, his last solo exhibition was held a while ago (in 2011) at the Palestinian Art Court (Al Hoash) in Jerusalem.

Born in 1947 in Birzeit, Sliman Mansour is one of the prominent Palestinian artists and a founding member of the art movement in Palestine. He is renowned for his captivating works that reflect the Palestinian heritage and struggle over the years. His paintings often feature powerful Palestinian symbols associated with the land, depicting themes such as Jerusalem, Palestinian nature and rural life, and Palestinian women in traditional embroidered dresses, among others.

The Ramallah exhibition will welcome visitors every day except Fridays, from August 12th to November 12th, between 10 am and 6 pm. While the broader audience can visit the exhibition online through this link.
