LOS ANGELES, CA.- Kruse GWS Auctions, the world-record-breaking auction specializing in entertainment memorabilia, fine jewelry, master timepieces and Royal artifacts, has announced the “Artifacts of Hollywood & Music” auction to take place Saturday, August 26, 2023 beginning at 10:00 a.m. PT.

The Artifacts of Hollywood & Music Auction features a collection of rare memorabilia from the life and career of Kurt Cobain, as well as extraordinary items from Elvis Presley, Bruce Lee, Cher, Marilyn Monroe, Raquel Welch, John Lennon and much more.

Kurt Cobain is best known as the lead singer of the grunge band Nirvana which he formed in 1988. He became a rock legend quickly and remains one of the most popular artists of our time. The band made a leap to a major label when they signed with Geffen Records in 1991. After releasing the majorly successful album “Nevermind,” Nirvana’s highly acclaimed album “In Utero” was released in 1993 and skyrocketed to the top of the charts. In 1994, the music world experienced a tragedy when Cobain committed suicide at the age of 27, in the guest house behind his Seattle home.

Highlights of the auction include a Kurt Cobain played and signed Teisco Del Ray EV-2T Electric guitar; a Kurt Cobain personally owned pair of swimming goggles; a Kurt Cobain Hand Drawn Doodle and Note signed “Kurdt;” a Kurt Cobain Handwritten “Beers That Do Not Cause Hangover” Note; Kurt Cobain Handwritten and Signed “SAD/HAPPY” Lyrics; a Kurt Cobain Personally Owned Baby Photo Labeled “Seattle” and a Kurt Cobain Photo with Handwritten Inscriptions and a Kurt Cobain Franciscan Guitar with Estate Invoice.
