NEW YORK, NY.- Print Center New York is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the Board of Trustees in April, Brooke A. Minto and Donald T. Fallati, and the forthcoming appointment of David G. Sabel as the new Board Chair, effective June. These exciting announcements come at a time of robust growth, as Print Center New York continues to introduce new programming during its first year in its new, ground floor space at 535 West 24th Street.

Without an academic background in art history, my wife and I realized early on that we wanted to make the unique world of prints an ongoing, immersive learning experience through collecting. I have long admired the work of Print Center New York and am honored to join the Board of Directors in order to further my support of the printmaking craft. Sabel has been a longstanding advocate and supporter of Print Center New York. He has served on the Board for five years, most recently as Vice Chair. He assumes his new role in advance of the launch of New Voices: On Transformation, a pilot program providing a cohort of emerging artists with a focused group exhibition and professional development.
David has played an integral role in the search of the organizations new space, resulting in our current ground floor space at 535 West 24th Street, stated Maud Welles, current board Chair. Sabel will take the helm from Welles, who remains on the board.
Brooke A. Minto has twenty years of experience working for museums and interdisciplinary arts organizations in the United States and abroad. As the inaugural executive director of the Black Trustee Alliance for Art Museums (BTA), she launched the grant-funded pilot program which has grown into a robust nonprofit membership organization equipping Black trustees with the resources to bring meaningful and lasting change to their institutions. Beginning this month, Brooke will be Executive Director and CEO of the Columbus Museum of Art. Later this month she will receive recognition from the American Alliance of Museums for her work in the areas of diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI), an as individual who has served as a catalyst for change in the areas of diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in their workplace, community, and/or the museum field.
Donald T. Fallati first came to the art world via a catalogue issued by the Associated American Artists; he and his wife ordered two small prints by mail 40 years ago and have since grown their collection with invaluable help from advisors, curators, and gallerists. Their collection of modern and contemporary works has a special emphasis on artists with a commitment to printmaking.
Were thrilled that Brooke and Don will be joining our Board at this pivotal time, and that David will step up as the Board Chair after many years of supporting our vision. With the opening of our transformational new space at 535 W 24th Street, we welcome Brooke's expansive network of artists and curators, in addition to her expertise with board governance, and we welcome Dons leadership in business and marketing, and his enthusiasm for collecting prints. Brooke A. Minto has twenty years of experience working for museums and interdisciplinary arts organizations in the United States and abroad. Beginning in May 2023, she will be Executive Director and CEO of the Columbus Museum of Art. Previously, Ms. Minto served as the inaugural executive director of the Black Trustee Alliance for Art Museums, growing its membership and overseeing the initiation of its key mission components. Prior to BTA, she held senior leadership roles at Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa in Cape Town; the New Museum in New York; the New Orleans Museum of Art; and Pérez Art Museum Miami. She began her career in the curatorial department of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Ms. Minto studied art history, and earned a masters degree in Modern Art and Critical Studies from Columbia University. She is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth, and the Board of Trustees for Print Center New York.
Donald T. Fallati is President of Altheus Advisors, which provides a range of strategic growth and marketing consulting to healthcare technology and other software and services companies. Prior to founding Altheus, he served in leadership roles with several firms, including as Executive Vice President of Dictaphone Corporation and Senior Vice President of M*Modal Technologies. Fallati is on the board of Elisa Monte Dance Company in New York and is a member of the President's Council at Wesleyan University, the Garnet Club Advancement Council at Swarthmore College, and the Contemporary Drawing and Print Associates at The Museum of Modern Art. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the American Health Information Management Association Foundation. Fallati has a B.A. from Wesleyan University, an M.A. from University of Iowa, and an M.B.A. from New York University.
David G. Sabel is currently a senior counsel at Cleary Gottlieb where he became partner in 1984. Sabel has worked at the firm's New York, Brussels, and London offices. Sabel is a graduate of Columbia College and Harvard Law School. He previously served as a Board Member for Royal Academy America. He is currently a Member of the Vollard Group at The British Museum, the Contemporary Drawing and Print Associates at The Museum of Modern Art, and the Friends of Drawings and Prints at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
