MILAN.- With an unprecedented look and communication strategy,
Tortona Design Week, in collaboration with the Double Malt Communication Agency for the first time, presents its 2023 edition entitled, Future to Share: an ambitious project promoting a future based on the importance of sharing and inclusiveness.
Today, technology, innovation and circularity represent the cornerstones upon which everyday life should be founded, in order to build a tomorrow that is capable of promoting self-production and sustainable urban manufacturing.
This year's participants include: TCL, Nardi, GAC Europe, Hainan Lizu, Delta Light, Decor Lab, Lechler, nhow Milano, Festool, Lexus, Zip Zone Events, YOOX, Keio SDM, Freehand Furniture Co, Officina 14, ADF-GARDE, Noroo, Swatchbox, UMPRUM (The Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague), Institute for Material Design IMD together with the Mazda Motor Corporation, and IAB Italia.
In order to both animate the entire Tortona district, and make it a point of reference for the large number of expected visitors, a rich variety of installations, exhibitions, events, talks and meetings will be presented, with the aim of making its public conscientious and critical towards the realities of today.
With the goal of instilling new values, engaging and educating its audience, Future to Share provides an opportunity to learn and build change.
TDW Hub
A novelty of this edition is the TDW Hub, an open space dedicated to creativity and innovation, located at via Tortona 12. The hub will be a gathering and interaction point, where several companies will find themselves cohabitating and communicating with each other so as to offer visitors an experience that demonstrates how design is a part of our lives, even if sometimes appearing in different and unexpected forms.
TCL Green Horizon
In line with its "Inspire Greatness" brand signature, TCL introduces ELEMENTS TCL Green Horizon: an immersive journey that explores the four elements of nature. The exhibition reminds visitors of how nature has always been, and continues to be, the most important source of inspiration, creativity and innovation. Through sustainable works of art, interactive experiences and innovative products, visitors will be able to imagine a horizon, a near future, in which nature and technology coexist harmoniously.
Limonaia (Nardi)
Among the featured participants of the event, Nardi presents Limonaia (located at via Tortona 30), an installation that interprets an idea of life in the open air, capturing the lightness, colors and scents of a Mediterranean terrace. The Net Lounge armchair, with its characteristic wave profile, furnishes an area where, between videos and special effects, visitors will have the sensation of floating in the air. The space will host two talks moderated by journalist and author Antonella Galli: On Wednesday, April 19th at 7 pm, "The extra room: designing terraces and gardens" with well-known TV personality and architect Diego Thomas; On Friday, April 21st at 7 pm, "Wellness and nature in the contemporary garden" with landscape architect, Antonio Perazzi, along with doctor and phytotherapy teacher, Stefania Piloni.
GAC Car Culture Series
GAC, a young automotive design studio, is for the first time exhibiting "Car Culture #2 - The Van life," the second project of the "GAC Car Culture Series." Thanks to a versatile interior, and technologies that allow you to reach remote places without emitting particles into the atmosphere, the new vehicle allows you to move easily and silently, while surrounded by beauty.
momentUM (Delta Light)
For the occasion, Delta Light launches its new collection with the publication of the catalog The Lighting Bible 15. From April 17th, the Belgian multinationals new products will be at the center of momentUM, an evocative installation that animates the Delta Light Studio located on Via Gaspare Bugatti. Cutting-edge precision optics, color and design innovations, together with elegant decorative expressions, are the novelties of both the linear lighting systems, as well as those of outdoor solutions.
WunderDecor (Decor Lab Decoration Laboratory)
Decor Lab, the interior decoration laboratory located at Via Tortona 37, returns with WunderDecor, a renewed exhibition containing new decoration ideas that are capable of creating personal, imaginative and innovative environments. By hosting events, art exhibitions and presentations of new collections, Décor Lab and their 20 partner companies offer a range of coordinated and customizable solutions to unleash creativity to the maximum.
The Way of Relations (Lechler)
Color Design® Lechler, specialized in the production of paints, presents "The Way of Relations," which is dedicated to the spaces of relationship, transition, and reflection--places that respond to the new concept of living at home. The relationship is recovered and relaunched in all its forms, facilitating - with color, materials and finishes - the harmonies between the exterior and interior, between real and virtual spaces, between past and future.
Lhub 35 (nhow Milano)
A former factory that has been converted into a hotel, nhow Milano opens its doors for L'hub 35, the great event that will transform the chameleon-like spaces of the structure into real laboratories of innovation and creativity, bringing together the works of important international brands who, like nhow, see a crack in the wall as an opening to a new world, rather than something broken. On Thursday, April 20th, we will celebrate together at the party "L'hub of sound35" party!
