The beautiful art of tennis

Tennis is one of those classic and elegant sports who could fit right in at a museum. In fact, there's quite a few tennis museums around the globe at the moment. Maybe the most famous one is found in Wimbledon, England.

Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, and is widely regarded as the most prestigious one. It has been held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London, since 1877 and is played on outdoor gras courts.

All players have to wear white at all times when playing at the tournament. The organization is very strict with its traditions.

Roger Federer - The classiest players of all time
Roger Federer, the swiss maestro, did dominate the sport in the same manner as avalanches dominate trees. There was no shame to less to Roger Feder, in fact it became an honor. To lose to Roger Federer just meant that you were woven into the fabric of sports history.

Roger Federer has since the backend of 2022 retired from the sport, but his name lives on. The 41 year old swiss, who won the ATP Sportsmanship Award 13 times throughout his career, can be found at various places around the world.

In 2007, the Swiss Post in Basel released a special edition stamp for Federer. Three years later, in 2010, Federer was awarded a special edition stamp by the Austria´s Postal Service.

There are a few more places you can find Federer, except the Stamp. For example he has two streets named after him. One of them is found in Halle, Germany, and one of them is found in the city of Biel, Switzerland.

As the first living person, we can also find Roger Federer's face on two of the Swiss coins out there. We can also find Roger Federer in the Swiss National Museum in their 100-part chronicle of Swiss history and culture.

In 2011, on the Reputation Institute's study of the World's most respected, admired and trusted personalities, Federer was ranked at number two. Just behind Nelson Mandela.

The classiest person in the sport has now moved on. Will we ever see anything like it, and who will that person be?

Will the sport keep its class and elegance?
As we are just at the beginning of 2023, we have just lost Roger Federer to retirement. In the next couple of years we will lose the rest of the big four to retirement as well. Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray are all aging. These four players have been flag bearers for the sport, as well in capability on the court as class outside it.

Now it's time for a new generation to step up and show the tennisworld that the class and elegance will stay. Thanks to the streaming service Netflix, we have a chance to see a preview of what lies ahead of us.

Netflix followed the tennis tour last season and has just released the first five episodes of the show. Their focus is to follow new talent and get them to showcase what tennis is all about. The series is called breakpoint, and is a must watch for all tennis fans out there.

What lies ahead in the near future for tennis?
As we are in the beginning of 2023, the season has just started. The season, as always, starts with a bang. The Australian Open gets going on the 16th of January, and the worlds best get a chance to measure their powers against each other.

As the tournament starts, one of the remaining big four is the overwhelming favorite to take the title. Novak Djokovic has won the title nine times, and has his eyes firmly on the tenth. The young guns will make sure that if he wins his tenth, it's not gonna be easy.

The Australian Open is as always a big happening for all the punters around the world. Even if you only place some bets a year, or a whole lot, the Australian Open attracts. To find the right bookmaker to place your bets on is not always the easiest.
