ESHS remains at the cutting edge in providing innovative programs that lift families out of poverty and into the economic mainstream. Support of The Winter Show will help continue to make these life-changing accomplishments possible.

“The Winter Show has long been a part of the East Side House tradition, and it is vital to raising the funds necessary to continue to serve those New Yorkers most in need,” said Daniel Diaz, Executive Director of East Side House Settlement. “We’re delighted to again be joined by such a reputable fleet of exhibitors, and we are excited to come together with all of our supporters at the fair.”

Each year, the Show invites leaders from the worlds of interior design and architecture to lend their voices as Design Council Co-Chairs, reinforcing its deep relationship with the design community. The Show’s 2022 Co-Chairs are Bunny Williams, Elizabeth Lawrence, Alex Papachristidis, and Stephen Sills; the Design Council Honorary Co-Chair is Wendy Goodman, Design Editor of New York Magazine. The Design Co-Chairs’ support heightens awareness of the important work done by East Side House Settlement, in addition to promoting the use of historic art and objects in contemporary architecture and design.

Bunny Williams, founder of Bunny Williams Interior Design, launched her eponymous firm over 30 years ago, after a 22-year apprenticeship with the esteemed Parish-Hadley Associates. A member of Architectural Digest’s AD100 Hall of Fame, Williams and the firm have been included on several best-of lists, including Elle Décor’s A-List and the Luxe Gold List, and have won numerous industry awards. Elizabeth Lawrence was named the first-ever Partner of Bunny Williams Interior Design in 2017, after several years at the firm. Together with Bunny Williams, she runs the firm’s first product line, Bunny Williams Home. Lawrence’s work has been widely published in the media, and in 2020, she was honored at the New York School of Interior Design’s Annual Gala. Alex Papachristidis established his eponymous firm over 35 years ago and has received numerous industry honors, including the Albert Hadley Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York School of Interior Design in 2021. He has been recognized in Elle Décor’s A-List and is a member of Architectural Digest’s AD100. In September 2022, Rizzoli published his latest book, The Elegant Life: Rooms That Welcome and Inspire. Acclaimed interior designer Stephen Sills is a member of Architectural Digest’s AD100 and was named one of the magazine’s “30 Deans of American Design.” His new publication, Stephen Sills: A Vision for Design, published by Rizzoli in September 2022, is an in-depth look at several of his most recent projects, as well as his own residences.

In addition to a schedule of programs, The Winter Show organizes a number of benefit events throughout its run, including the Opening Night Party on January 19 and Young Collectors Night on January 26. As cornerstone events of the Show, these evenings attract collectors, philanthropists, and art and design aficionados alike, providing special opportunities to view the offerings of the exhibitors. All net proceeds from ticket sales for the Opening Night Party and Young Collectors Night support East Side House Settlement.
