CHART Art Fair announces new Director
Julie Quottrup Silbermann.



COPENHAGEN.- As the newly appointed Director of CHART, Julie Quottrup Silbermann will be responsible for laying out the organization’s future course and strategic development as the primary platform for the Nordic art community. Julie Quottrup Silbermann has significant experience from different positions within the international art scene. She has previously worked as gallery director, art advisor, cultural communicator and curator. Julie Quottrup Silbermann assumes the position with a vast national and international network and is driven by a passion for contemporary art.

Julie Quottrup Silbermann states: “I’m looking forward to take up the position as Director and continuing the work on CHART’s visionary plans and its standing as a strong and defining institution within the Nordic art scene. It will be exciting to further develop the digital platform, to ensure that CHART’s activities stay relevant and visible all year round.”

Annette Sadolin, Chair of the Board, states: “With the appointment of Julie Quottrup Silbermann, CHART gains a director with great knowledge of, experience within, and a dynamic approach to the art world. Julie holds the ideal profile to continue and strengthen CHART’s position as the leading and central Nordic art event.”

CHART’s board looks forward to the collaboration with Julie Quottrup Silbermann when she takes on the position from 1 October.

Julie Quottrup Silbermann received her Master’s Degree of Arts in Modern Culture and Cultural Communication from the University of Copenhagen. She has worked as Senior Director at Galleri Nils Stærk, Copenhagen, Director at David Risley Gallery, Copenhagen, and Director at Martin Asbæk Gallery, Copenhagen. In recent years Quottrup Silbermann was active as an art advisor for COLLABORATIONS, Copenhagen, where she has advised private clients and institutions.
