6x the best things to with your kids: the spring break edition

It's almost time for the best vacation of the year, the spring break. When you have children over sixteen, this holiday might be a little different (read: partying every day), but the little kids also have to be entertained. So what are you going to do with the kids this year? Will you choose a relaxing vacation so your kids can recharge before the last school period, or will you go for an active vacation? After all, the weather is nice and every country is opening up after the pandemic. We will give you 6 great tips.

Movie night
A tip for when the nice weather is still a while in coming or for during the colder evenings: a movie day/evening! Lazing around on the couch with a movie on Netflix. But you can also take your kids to the movies. There are many great movies running this season, such as: Sing 2, Maya and the Golden Egg, Pirates of the Next Door, Encanto and The Club of Super-Pets. Of course popcorn is a must.

Let’s bake
It's great fun to be in the kitchen with your children. And during the May vacations there is plenty of time to make these treats yourself. Get a ready-made baking mix from the supermarket and bake away.

It's also fun to make dinner with your children during the May vacations. How about delicious homemade pizzas for example?

Daytrip
The Netherlands has countless fun trips for children. Will it be the Efteling or Walibi, or will you go to a fun zoo like Artis or the Apenheul? There is bound to be something fun in your area.

If that is not the case, it is also very nice to go somewhere by train. A train ride will be an adventure in itself for your kids.

Be sporty
During the May vacations the cookie jar and the candy jar will be on the table more often. We understand it! But that's why it's not wrong to plan a sporty activity during your vacation. For example, go rollerblading or spend the afternoon at the pool. Mountain biking or kite flying together is also fun to do in the May vacation. In addition, there are often special introductions or workshops during the vacations, for example at dancing schools, riding schools or climbing halls.

Sleepover
You probably also remember those sleepovers from the past. You want to give your children this memory too, right? And the May vacations are perfect for spending a few days away from home. Moreover, grandparents often enjoy spending some quality time with their grandchildren. And as a parent, you probably won't mind having a day of rest during the vacations either.

Dress up party
Nothing is more fun than walking around all day in your princess dress or superman suit, right? The May vacation is therefore perfect for a fancy dress party. So get out those dress up clothes, party supplies (in Dutch: feestversiering) and balloons (in Dutch: balloons) and go crazy. Invite some friends over too to make the party complete.

It's almost time for the lovely spring break! Which activity are you going to do with your children?
