Erin Schuppert, Fair Director Affordable Art Fair NYC.

NEW YORK, NY.- Ramsay Fairs announced the appointment of Erin Schuppert as Fair Director of the Affordable Art Fair New York ahead of its 2022 Spring edition. The upcoming fair includes presentations by over 70 local, national, and international galleries and takes place from Wednesday, March 23 through Sunday, March 27 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea marking the kickoff of its 20th Anniversary celebration in New York.

Erin joins the Ramsay Fairs team with eight years of experience in the New York art market. Her previous positions at Menconi & Schoelkopf, Phillips, and Christie’s span finance and operations with specializations across art departments including American art, contemporary art, and antiquities. As Director, Erin applies her passion for operational strategy and accessible art to her vision for the fair.

US Regional Managing Director at Ramsay Fairs, Cristina Salmastrelli, states: “We are delighted to celebrate our 20th Anniversary by welcoming Erin to the Ramsay Fairs family. The Spring 2022 edition of Affordable Art Fair marks a unique opportunity to reintroduce our New York and wider international art community to a fair that stands for the democratization of the art world through transparency and inclusivity. Erin shares our vision to inspire curiosity and connoisseurship in new, seasoned, and aspirational art collectors alike.”

In sharing her vision for the future of AAF in New York, Erin states: “The Affordable Art Fair has a long history across the globe of acting as a critical entry-point for curious art-goers and new collectors seeking access to the contemporary art market. As the director of the New York City editions, I am energized by the opportunity to welcome an ever-broadening audience to the fair in its only North American location. In this role, I hope to inspire confidence and enthusiasm for collectors as they discover beautiful art while supporting the artists and galleries who make up our vibrant arts community.”

In joining the Affordable Art Fair as the New York Director, Erin will lead the fair’s Spring and Fall editions, which this year will usher in the return to a full suite of programming and wider capacity after operating with limitations imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. Affordable Art Fair remains committed to maintaining compliance with the protocols and mandates of New York City and New York State health departments, the CDC, and the WHO, following their guidance on indoor gatherings and the city’s Key to NYC regulations. In the lead-up to the fair, the Safe Fair Policies listed on the fair website will be updated accordingly.
