HIGHLIGHTS:

Very Fine Pair of Jadeite and Lavender Jadeite Bangles (Lot 157)
Estimate on Request

Bangles are among some of the finest pieces in jadeite collecting and are highly sought after by connoisseurs. Jadeite bangles of superior quality are exceptionally difficult to come by as they have to be carved from an entire piece of premium-grade boulder. Plump and robust, this pair of bangles shows off their captivating hues in full roundness. The rich and radiant emerald green, as well as the luscious and beguiling lavender are the perfect embodiments of auspiciousness and harmony.

18.18-Carat Natural Unheated Burmese Mogok “Pigeon’s Blood” Ruby and Diamond Ring; Diamonds together weighing approx. 9.65 carats (Lot 80)
Estimate: HK$ 7,500,000 - 9,500,000/US$ 962,000 - 1,218,000

Natural Burmese rubies are typically smaller in size, so those of 5 carats or above are very difficult to come by. Over the past decade, superior-quality Burmese rubies of an impressive size are like gold dust in the auction market. This true wonder of nature, weighing over 18 carats, was unearthed 3 from the famed Mogok mine in Burma. Surrounded by a garland of brilliant white diamonds, the irresistible fiery ruby, displaying the most desirable “pigeon’s blood” crimson hue, is the epitome of opulence.

13.56-Carat Natural Untreated Colombian Muzo Emerald and Diamond Ring Diamonds together weighing approx. 5.50 carats (Lot 156)
Estimate: HK$ 6,500,000 - 9,500,000/US$ 833,300 - 1,218,000 Among emeralds, those originating from the Muzo mines in Colombia are the rarest, and are celebrated for their vibrant, lush green hue. This highly-coveted quality is known as “oil drop” by the locals, indicating a hue so rich and saturated that it seems as if oil could drip from them. At 13.56 carats, this emerald is a proud native of Muzo. Free of any oil enhancements, it is endowed with a mesmerising green and unrivalled clarity, making it an outstanding possession that deserves pride of place in any private collection.
