It uses 95% less water, prohibits the use of toxic fertilizers and pesticides, exponentially increases crop production and maximizes profits. Vertical farming can feed overpopulated cities if done on a large or industrial scale. It can tackle climate change to some extent. But there are still lots of challenges to overcome to fully establish this technology for mankind to utilize.
We cannot deny the detrimental effects plastic has on our planet. It has encroached into the marine system and put the lives of the animals there at great risk.
