LOS ANGELES, CA.- ACCA gallery presents an exhibition of original works by Gigi Garner in Beverly Hills during Art Week LA of 2021. Opening, July 30 - August 1, 2021 with Artist reception July 31, starts at 1:00PM. 468 North Camden Drive, Beverly Hills.

Although a new artist, Garner gives extraordinary form to emotion with her vivid imagery that manifests into an impressive show of artistic maturity. Her stunning use of color and recognizable-like patterns explore deeply personal realms and her unusual and mysterious painting techniques make her work unique. To honor her father’s legacy, the purchase of these artworks support the James Garner Animal Rescue Fund 100%, which helps support animal rescues all over the world. Each purchase may be used as a tax deduction.

When the 2020 pandemic hit, Gigi Garner, daughter of Hollywood icon James Garner, found herself desperately searching for a creative outlet. Having previously been a successful jewelry designer and metalsmith, she thought she would experiment with something less physically intensive. She bought some acrylic paint and some canvases to try her hand at painting. Only a few months later, sitting in her home surrounded by over a hundred paintings, she announced that she taught herself how to paint during the pandemic on social media. She happened to post some of her work and her followers were immediately asking for prices. She was stunned, as she was not even trying to sell them! Quickly selling dozens of paintings, she knew she needed some professional representation at that point.

Garner contacted a local gallery to get a recommendation for a photographer and the gallery owner casually asked if he could see her work. She initially came in with fifty paintings and she was offered a contract that day from the prestigious ACCA GALLERY in Beverly Hills. One of the most interesting facts they discovered about her unique method is that she rarely ever uses paint brushes, preferring to use unusual objects to create her pieces. Technically a “Flow Artist” she has labeled herself a “manipulator of paint” and says, “Sometimes the paint has a mind of its own!” Without ever attending an art class, Gigi simply intuitively paints whatever she feels and takes the viewer on a fantastical journey through atypical hues and whimsical forms.

Realizing that the proceeds from her artwork could be a perfect way to raise money for her father’s legacy foundation called the James Garner Animal Rescue Fund: AKA JGARF, a total win-win scenario was organically born!

GIGI GARNER (American, born 1958)

Being born the daughter of Hollywood Icon James Garner automatically placed a silver spoon in the mouth of Gigi Garner. Even though her birthright gave her certain advantages, she didn’t just stop there. She went to the esteemed Westlake School for Girls and then attended USC School of Cinematic Arts. She took a semester to study film abroad and then worked at CAA for a stint.

In 1980, Gigi landed a record deal and moved to London where she became a successful recording artist. While living in England she was asked to be a presenter on a Thames television show, and she appeared on various other popular shows in the UK and Germany. In 1984, she moved to Nashville to continue her music career and was signed as a staff songwriter at WORD RECORDS where she wrote three number 1 songs. In the early 1980’s she appeared with her famous father in a Mazda commercial and in 1988 Ms. Garner was chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press to be "Miss Golden Globe." Gigi has written two books, THE COP COOKBOOK and GIRL TALK. For several years Ms. Garner was an accomplished metalsmith and jewelry designer for many A-LIST clients and made screen worn jewelry for many television shows.

She has also worked as a print model, a commercial spokesperson and was at one time a real-life licensed private investigator in the state of Tennessee a la Rockford. In support of actors, she opened her own successful talent management company in 2010. She was able to place her actors on a great many of the top-rated TV shows in "Guest Starring", "Recurring" and even “Series Regular” television roles. In 2013-2014, Gigi Garner and her company GIGI GARNER MANAGEMENT was ranked the #1 Talent manager in the IMDB directory five times.

Her goal is to carry on her Father’s legacy in any way she can. She is gearing up to take over her father's legendary brand Cherokee Productions, which is responsible for various well-known films and of course, "The Rockford Files." In June of 2019, she launched a 501(c)3 charity called the JAMES GARNER ANIMAL RESCUE FUND (aka JGARF) in honor of her late father who passed away in 2014. Gigi has been a passionate animal rescuer for over thirty years and her mission is to continue to devote her life to helping animals.
