Old Woman Reading by Rembrandt.

DUMFRIESSHIRE, SCOTLAND.- The Duke of Buccleuch, owner of the Drumlanrig Castle, has decided to put back on view the painting Old Woman Reading by Rembrandt. The work had been stored in a vault after the August 2003 theft at the castle of a Da Vinci work.
A source from the caste said, Against advice, the Duke has said he wants the Rembrandt on display again. He is considering where it will go, but it will certainly not be put back in its original place. He believes his collection of works are treasures that should be available for the public to see. He wants everyone to enjoy them.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter McAdam of Dumfries and Galloway Police, said, Someone obviously must know who the gang members are and where the painting is. There is still a reward of upwards of £100,000 to anyone who gives us information that leads to an arrest. I am still determined to recover the painting and make arrests. With the da Vinci missing from Drumlanrig, something has been lost from the experience of visiting the castle.
