Remi Guillemin, Specialist, Christies Watches, The strong results of this sale demonstrate the continued strength of Christies online platform and its ability to reach the broadest possible global audience. Going into this season, we made the deliberate decision to combine our live and online auction into one comprehensive online sale. Achieving over $7.7m, the success of this strategy has been reinforced as this sale has established the highest valued online watches sale ever offered at Christies. Additionally, this sale was the first Christies online auction to offer a timepiece with an estimate of over $400,000 and we are delighted that the Patek Philippe reference 1463 sold for $600,000, setting a new record for a watch sold online at Christies.
