Lionel O Gauge Canadian Pacific SD-90 Locomotive. 6-18271 Canadian Pacific SD-90. Estimate $100 - $150.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA.- Turner Auctions + Appraisals will offer Bears, Dolls & Trains on Sunday, November 15, 2020. The auction presents a wide selection of playthings or collectibles beloved by children of all ages from young to old. With over 230 lots, the sale features many vintage Steiff animals, including large store display models; a variety of vintage dolls; and an array of O and S gauge trains, mostly from American manufacturers, and related accessories and other items.

From the very popular Nancy Glenn estate, the Steiff offerings showcase a vast menagerie, including bears, rabbits, ponies, pumas, lions, monkeys, birds, and a bison, stork, and boar. In addition to many groupings, the sale includes vintage Steiff Limited Edition and Collectors Edition lots, and a number of Steiff hand puppets. There are also large store display animals from the fabled toy store FAO Schwarz – cheetah, puma, penguin, donkey, lion and more – and a very large giraffe and pig. Among the dolls are vintage porcelain and bisque head dolls, including some from Germany; Chinese and cultural ethnic dolls; and from Japan, geisha and Kyoto pottery dolls. A highlight is an antique JDK 221 Googly.

Many train lots are O gauge from diverse manufacturers: Lionel, Weaver, Williams, Western Hobbycraft, MTH, K-Line, Atlas, Sunset and Menards.

S gauge trains include Lionel, Gilbert, and American Models. Among the train accessories are bascule and lift bridges, a fuel station, control tower, track gang, buildings and vehicles. The sale also offers an operating hobby shop, a Jim Beam Train with track, several framed train pictures, and train ephemera.
