The Biggest Changes Made in Fortnite Season 4
Want to know about Chapter 2 Season 4 of Fortnite? Have a look at what skins to expect from the Fortnite item shop, map changes, and everything else here!

Here’s what you need to know about the changes made in Fortnite Season 4
Season 4 has finally dropped and people can’t get enough over the influx of Marvel-related content that Epic Games has brought over to Fortnite. With new skins over at the Fortnite item shop and a chance to have a refreshing start at a Battle Pass to boot, this is the perfect time to purchase those passes and limited-time skins! Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 focuses on Marvel superheroes and the Nexus wars. You might’ve heard of the Infinity wars where Thanos makes an appearance to wipe out half of the universe. In Nexus wars, however, the purple guy won’t be present. Instead, Galactus, The Devourer of Worlds, will be the one to wreak havoc and destroy the world in the process. Aside from the swapping of villains, there were also huge changes that were made around the map to accommodate this season’s theme. So if you’re interested to know more about what to expect in Season 4 of Fortnite, stick around to prepare yourself before logging into the game!

New Season Means New Fortnite Skins

It’s not a Fortnite game if there aren’t new skins that’ll drop at the beginning of the season. Since Epic Games is all about superheroes now thanks to the massive Marvel tie-in, this major collaboration with them has in turn produced skins for the Fortnite item shop and Battle Pass that’ll make any Marvel fan squeal in sheer delight!

The first of the many skins that we’d like to talk about is Thor, The God of Thunder. Clad in black armor with eyes that look ethereal, the Thor skin should be up in your list of skins to buy should you be a fan of the Son of Odin. Set that up with the Mjolnir’s Path emote and it’ll be the perfect combination to make your friends green with envy!

I AM GROOT. That’s right! Everyone’s favorite sentient tree will be a skin in Fortnite. It’s safe to say that at the end of the season, WE are Groot. Note that this is the adult Groot that we’re talking about, not the baby or teen version. Groot will also have an in-built emote to his skin which is unheard of. You’ll have to complete Groot’s Awakening challenges in order to unlock it though.

There are a lot more skins to talk about, but the last one that we’d like to highlight is She-Hulk. We expected that Hulk will be one of the skins that exude “Rage” based on the leaks, so having She-Hulk grace us with her presence was definitely a surprise treat. Her alter ego, Jennifer Walters, will also be a skin. She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters is the cousin of Bruce Banner, the Hulk. Both skins can be unlocked through the Battle Pass.

Spawn Island and Pleasant Park No More

Two of the biggest map changes will happen in Spawn Island and Pleasant Park, and you bet it has everything to do with the Marvel theme! You might know Spawn Island as the “waiting room” where you can lounge around or do whatever before the Battle Bus is ready and the game officially starts. What was known as a normal-looking island has now turned into a helicarrier—a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier that is. S.H.I.E.LD. is an intelligence agency that has appeared in Marvel comics and even has a series that revolves around the characters that work there. Their helicarrier in the shows or comics is often referred to as the command center—a place where important meetings happen. In Fortnite, however, it’s a playground for everyone. You can even use the thermal updrafts to glide above the helicarrier!

Nothing’s pleasant about Pleasant Park anymore. What everyone thought was a serene place where you can just sit down on a bench and read a book has now turned into Doom’s Domain. Doctor Doom will appear as a mini-boss for anyone that visits this part of the map. If you’re able to beat him, you’ll be rewarded with his gauntlets that can shoot plasma (you can use this for the entire duration of the game) and access to his vault.

Season 4 of Fortnite is shaping up to be a great Marvel-themed time of the year! While the superheroes and supervillains are present, it looks like there are also some new skins that can be purchased from the Fortnite item shop soon that are created by Epic Games themselves.
