Kids have it in them. They are natural innovators. The imagination of a child can impress you. It is said that it is what helps them to cope with issues like pain. 1. Set aside some space for creativity
To support or encourage your kid’s creativity, the best thing you can do is create some space for creativity. You do not have to build your child a fancy playhouse. Some space at the corner of the living room with a few items for creative play is all you need. Giving your child authority over his or her space is the beginning of everything great.

2. Always keep it simple
Learning in children is progressive and natural. More so, kids are usually very simple. They might be more interested in coloring games than having a play station. Playing simple games gives them the freedom to explore their senses.

3. Cultivate a culture of creative and critical thinking
How do you go about this? First, you need to understand that this usually works with older children. You can do this by making them brainstorm. If not, you can theoretically cite specific issues and let them tell you the approach they would take with that.

4. Give your kids free time

5. Let your kids interact with the world
Well, as much as it is important to protect your kids from the world, always locking them in is not healthy. It will blindfold their creativity. Do you know what exposure will do for them? It will even boost their creativity. Let them interact with the world, and you will be doing something great for them. You do not need to stress about taking them to the Maldives. Simple acts like taking them to the library, and the parks will help them get the ideas they need for creativity.

6. Help your children pursue their passion
By now, you already know what your child is interested in most. There are no better ways to encourage their creativity than supporting their passion. If you notice that your child spends more of his or her time playing coloring games, which should tell you that buying drawing books, paint, crayons and brushes will help them a great deal. Availing such items will make them feel encouraged and will be compelled even to do better.

7. Kids learn from their parents: be creative too
Children are not born knowing how to draw, ride a bike, or read. Most of these things they learn or taught by their parents. The difference is that different children end up getting an interest in different things.

Therefore, you need to be creative too. If your child’s play buddy is not around, you can always step in and play LEGO with your little one. Play and be creative together with your child, and there are some notes he or she will be able to borrow from you.

Creativity at a young age prepares your child mentally, physically, and emotionally for life ahead. Support your kids’ creativity by giving them the freedom to choose the games they want to play or things they need to do. The best support you can give them is through taking a part in it by either participating or availing the materials that they need for creativity.
