NEW YORK.- Paddle8, the leading cultural e-commerce platform, announces an exclusive online storefront in collaboration with British multimedia artist Patrick Church. Patrick Church: I Look For You in Everything will be live for three months featuring three monthly drops of handbags, ceramics and rugs designed by Church and sold exclusively on Paddle8. I Look For You in Everytying will launch worldwide on December 6 on Paddle8 and will be marked by a launch event at The Surf Lodge during Art Basel Miami Beach.

“At Paddle8 we’re proud of our collaborative work with artists, and this storefront is a fantastic, energized representation of that,” states Paddle8 CEO Valentine Ukovski. “Patrick is a chameleon and a visionary with a fantastic following, and these pieces are so coveted and personal.”

“I’m fascinated by designing and creating items that are lived with and interacted with on a daily basis, there is an intimacy in creating unique and “hand touched” objects that is not unlike my artwork,” states artist Patrick Church.

A series of hand painted vintage Louis Vuitton bags modeled by the artist and NYC downtown fixture Sophia Lamar will serve as the launch drop, paying homage to fashion designer Stephen Sprouse’s iconic 2001 graffiti collaboration with the fashion house and the pop aesthetic of the Y2K Era.

The second drop will feature a series of unique hand-painted ceramics including vases, trays and plates. Church developed these in close collaboration with his mother who is a ceramist and introduced him to the craft at a young age resulting in works that are intensely emotional and personal for both mother and son. The ceramics come in three different sets and each explore a different facet of Church’s work.

The final drop will be a collaboration with Swedish art rug manufacturer Henzel Studio, showcasing five five chromogenic printed velour carpets depicting a diverse selection from Church’s body of work. One of his signature portraits has been adapted into a freeform rug, and will be available in five colorways, each in an edition of five. Henzel Studio has previously collaborated with artist that include Richard Prince, Helmut Lang, Lawrence Wiener, Marilyn Minter, Douglas Gordon and The Andy Warhol Foundation for The Visual Arts, among others.

Patrick Church
Patrick is a British multimedia artist currently living and working in New York City. Blurring the boundaries between art and fashion, the work boldly explores the human form and condition, always painting from a personal perspective, juxtaposing vulnerability with fearlessness; reflective of Patrick’s own character.

Exploring the use of paint, his work strives for impact through layering, texture and manipulation to create increased depth and connection. This results in impressions that are unpolished and unrefined, retaining the raw emotion that inspired their existence. His paintings retain an air of humor in their most obvious state, paramount to the artist’s DNA; a hint of juvenile liberation and rebellion from any confines from the art world.

Patrick Church’s collectors include Madonna, Kendall Jenner, Katy Perry and Teyana Taylor, among others.
