NEW YORK.- Thea Westreich Art Advisory Services announces the addition of Kevin Moore to its staff, bringing the number of the firm’s full-time staff to ten people. For the last few years, Moore has been on the curatorial staffs of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Department of Photographs.

Moore received his MA/PhD from Princeton University. He has held a Whiting Foundation grant and a Fulbright Commission grant, the latter for dissertation research in Paris, France. He was also a Chester Dale Fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Moore’s book, “Jacques Henri Lartigue: The Invention of an Artist,” was published this month by Princeton University Press.

“Kevin’s extraordinary background, knowledge and level of scholarship greatly enhance our firm’s well established expertise in the field of photography. He will be of enormous assistance to our clients, several of whom focus mainly on photography, while others prominently include photographic images in their collections,” said the firm’s president, Thea Westreich.

“In today’s art world, there are more fairs, gallery shows, biennales and museum exhibitions than ever before. Collectors are typically very busy people with many interests. They cannot possibly cover every important art event on their own. With a staff of ten we extend our clients’ reach and coverage, and are able to provide the information that makes for discerning judgments and acquisitions of the highest quality,” said the firm’s Senior Associate, Stefano Basilico. Basilico joined Thea Westreich Art Advisory Services last month after working as Adjunct Curator of Contemporary Art at the Milwaukee Art Museum and Curator of the New School University Art Collection.
