DALLAS, TX.- Easily exceeding its pre-auction estimate, the Hermès Limited Edition 35cm Matte So Black Alligator Birkin Bag with PVD Hardware realized $118,750, as multiple bidders vied for this exceptional handbag. The top 10 highest selling items were almost exclusively Hermès handbags as the luxury brand paced the Spring Luxury Accessories Auction to $1.3+ million for Heritage Auctions on April 4.

"When I hear from collectors throughout the world, I know we have curated an exceptional sale," Heritage Auctions Luxury Accessories Director Diane D’Amato said. "This certainly was the case leading up to our auction with the bidding on the many rare and remarkable lots a testimony to the ongoing and growing allure of Hermès."

Collectors also were quick to acquire the stunning Hermès 30cm Shiny Blue Abysse Nilo Crocodile Birkin Bag with Gold Hardware for $57,500 as well as the Hermès Shiny Colvert Porosus Crocodile Kelly Cut Clutch Bag with Gold Hardware for $45,000.

A beautiful Chanel Diamond & 18K White Gold Secret Camellia Watch, the lone non-Hermès item in the top 10, captured the bidders’ attention selling for $37,500.

Visually stunning Hermès handbags continued to be the top fashion choice as an Hermès Shiny Braise Nilo Crocodile Kelly Pochette Bag with Palladium Hardware brought in $25,000 and an Hermès Limited Edition 35cm Black & Blue Agate Togo Leather Verso Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware realized $21,250.
