ST. LOUIS, MO.- The success of recent exhibitions, expansion of vision, and strong pool of international artists looking to present innovative works has led St. Louis-based
projects+gallery to make exciting changes among their leadership team.
Bridget Melloy joined in early July as Senior Director. Bridget was most recently Business Development Manager at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in St. Louis and has a long CV of professional experience, including work as Director with Philip Slein Gallery from 2014-2016 and as an Exhibitions Coordinator at the World Chess Hall of Fame. She has served on the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis Junior Board of Directors since 2012, serves on the Sheldon Art Galleries Board of Directors, and the Young Friends Board of Jazz St. Louis.
Dorte Probstein, currently the gallerys Director, has stepped into the newly-created role as Director of Art Fairs and Special Projects at Barrett Barrera Projects, the parent company of projects+gallery. She will focus on opportunities outside of St. Louis in the national and international art scenesnotably expanding the companys presence by pursuing gallery partnerships, art fairs and pop-up opportunities.
Specializing in art, culture and contemporary fashion, projects+gallery features regional, national, and international artists working in a variety of mediums. The gallery is a subsidiary of Barrett Barrera Projects, a St. Louis-based company founded by Susan Barrett in 2014 that is dedicated to effective and innovative representation for contemporary artists such as Fantich & Young, Charlie le Mindu, Stephane Margolis, Hideki Seo and Bill Smith and offers a variety of art consultation services.
