NEW YORK, NY.- Emmanuel Di Donna announced the relocation of Di Donna Galleries to 744 Madison Avenue, between East 64th and 65th Streets in Manhattan. The gallery, which has been located at the Carlyle Hotel since its formation in 2010, is moving to a full floor, 6,500 square foot custom designed space. The new state-of-the-art space features multiple, flexible exhibition galleries, private viewing rooms, museum standard climate controlled art storage and exhibition areas, offices, a library, and catering kitchen. The design balances a clean minimalist aesthetic with industrial chic touches. Di Donna Galleries will remain focused on 20th Century Art, exhibiting outstanding European and American works from the 1920s to the 1970s. They will continue to present important exhibitions in a historic or aesthetic context via curated, themed, or single-artist shows.

Rexrode Chirigos Architects, the team behind several prominent galleries in New York's Chelsea and Upper East Side neighborhoods, designed the new gallery. Founder Emmanuel Di Donna says "Betty and Michael did a terrific job interpreting our needs, turning them into innovative design features." In tandem with the new location, the gallery announces the appointment of Christina Floyd Di Donna as a gallery Director. A former Senior Director at Sotheby's, Floyd Di Donna has been a private Art Adviser for the past decade and was actively involved in the design process for the new venue. She said "We are pleased with the tremendous flexibility that our new location will allow us. In addition to benefiting more dramatic viewing environments for our clients, we will now be able to host dinners and symposiums that will provide a greater context for the works on view. "

The gallery's first exhibition in the new location will be a major exhibition of mid-twentieth century Abstract Art scheduled to open in October 2016. In the interim, the gallery continues to focus on top end secondary market works, placing extraordinary artworks through private sales, producing original publications and works of scholarship, and participating in key international fairs.
