AMSTERDAM.- Art Europe Auctions is a new auction house with a flexible way of managing operations, combining online and traditional auctioneering across Europe. Theatre in the room in combination with sophisticated online tools will bring the best of both worlds. The internationally oriented expertise of AEA encompasses various disciplines such as European paintings (Old Masters, 19th Century, early 20th Century) modern and contemporary art, photography, design, jewelry, watches, wine and Asian Art. Amsterdam is where it all begins, but their alliances and partnerships extend throughout all of Europe.
Flexible and cost-efficient
Art Europe Auctions, located at The Lange Voorhout in The Hague, is an initiative of former Sothebys Director, Peter-Paul Guthman (1970). Together with finance expert Roderick Preys (1969), Guthman runs a team of young, highly educated employees, strengthened by experienced specialists and art consultants from around Europe. With AEAs dynamic team, her technological know-how and her varying locations for auctions, AEA is able to work cost efficiently and customer oriented; this translates into favourable rates for consignors and buyers.
A unique start: ONE
ONE is Art Europes Preview Sale. The 191 lots, on offer during this auction, are diverse and intended to provide an impression of what one can expect in 2016.The location is an old warehouse on the KNSM island, Amsterdam. Prior to the auction, this architectural highlight of Dutch maritime history will open its doors for art-lovers, collectors and buyers.
The sale takes place on a Sunday to allow potential private buyers to personally attend the event.
For various target groups there will be activities planned amongst which are lectures, previews, and corporate events. The official launch will take place on Wednesday December 9th. Viewing days for the general public will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (10-12 December from 10.00 - 17.00). Auction day is Sunday 13 December 2015 at 14.30pm.
