DALLAS, TX.- A Sterling Silver Water Pitcher made circa 1879-1891 by Tiffany & Co.— graced by repoussé oak leaves with inlaid copper veins — may sell for $20,000+ in Heritage Auctions' Nov. 8 Silver & Vertu Signature Auction in Dallas. The auction includes an important selection of Mexican silver, including a commissioned work by third-generation silversmith Cristina Romo Castillo, a Four-Piece, Anemone-form Silver Sugar and Creamer Set (est. $3,000+).

"The Castillo name is synonymous with fine silver craftsmanship and Cristina is imbued with the familial desire to experiment," said Karen Rigdon, Director of Fine Silver at Heritage. "Her ability to capture the taste of the day with clean lines and playful textures has earned her an early following in her young career. We think her work will be turning collectors' heads for years to come."

Highlighting a stellar selection of Mexican silver, a 92-piece Flatware Service by Héctor Aguilar, in the Aztec pattern, (est. $15,000+) was made in 1950 in Taxco, Mexico, in the heart of the country's silver heritage.

Fres & Cie French Silver Wine Cooler, circa 1896, from Paris, France (est. $10,000+); and a 124-piece Silver Flatware Service for 12 by Christofle, Paris, in the Commodore pattern (est. $7,000+).

American silver includes a selection led by a stunning three-handled Silver Gilt Loving Cup Golf Trophy, circa 1900, by Black, Staff & Frost, of New York (est. $10,000+); a brilliant Tiffany & Co. Chrysanthemum patterned Footed Silver Center Bowl, circa 1892-1902, and measuring 18 inches in diameter (est. $6,000+) and a Silver Tea and Coffee Service with Tray by A. Reed & Barton of Taunton, Mass. (est. $10,000+).

The auction's selection of 150 rare, match safes includes an extraordinary, 14 Karat Gold and Gold Quartz example made by Shreve & Co. of California, circa 1890 (est. $3,000+) and a unique Tiffany & Co. Silver and Coin Silver safe decorated with applied American silver coins atop a reptile skin pattered ground (est. $1,000+).

Additional objects de vertu range from a Chinese 22 Karat Gold, Enamel and Jade Snuff Bottle, circa 1970, decorated with a hand-painted peafowl (est. $5,000+) to a Silver Seal Figure by Buccellati of Milan, Italy (est. $2,000+); and a Golf Trophy Goblet by the Illinois' Onwentsia Club made by the Baltimore Silver Co., circa 1937 (est. $400+).
