DALLAS, TX.- Samuel Lynne Galleries will host a viewing of the newest paintings from the far-from-timid emerging artist Lea Fisher on April 26 from 5 8 pm. The stylistic exploration of Unexpected Reflection marks a new phase for Fishers art that is sure to stun both new and familiar visitors. The show will be introducing elements that stray from Fishers previously exclusive use of the palette knife, to experiment with a paintbrush and linear designs. In Unexpected Reflection, the large paintings are still infused with Fishers energetic interpretation of the world, but this interpretation has matured.
As a part of the Reflectionist school of art, Lea Fishers paintings continue a conversation with the Expressionist artists. Fisher combines innovative techniques with the same Impressionist medium of oil paints to create something extraordinary and contemporary, something that stems from raw emotion and a flow of consciousness.
This new work incorporates her previous bold color palette, but there are linear explorations in play now-- brush work and a complication of the field and ground. The evolution of Fishers painting career has happened quickly, as she has risen to the challenge of creating new artwork that is different and surprising for her audience instead of relying on variations of the same elements that first brought attention to Fishers talent. What makes this show a must-see is the sophistication and Fishers enthusiasm to turn her audiences expectations upside-down.
Unexpected Reflection will be on exhibit at Samuel Lynne Galleries from April 26 June 7, 2014.
