LONDON.- Arthur Millner, Specialist of Indian, Islamic, Himalayan and South East Asian Works of Art oversaw his second online-only auction at 25 Blythe Road, 7th November, with very good results particularly among the Himalayan bronzes and paintings, as well as Indian miniatures. The total sold was £184,879 (including premium at 20%).

The sale took place from the 4th – 7th November, during the week of Asian Art London. The auction site had in excess of 3000 visits in the last month with over 100,000 page views. Internet traffic sources reflected extensive coverage from the UK, Europe and the US and also strong interest from the Far East. The pre-sale exhibition at 25 Blythe Road was very well attended with around one hundred people visiting.

Among the highlights of the auction results is a drawing of a Sikh warrior, dating from the 18th century which sold for £12,000. Also a Tibetan bronze figure of a lama, 16th century which sold for £11,400. Sixty seven pages from a dispersed Jain Kalpasutra sold for £11,400, and a circa 1830 portrait of the much loved 18th century King of Tanjore, Serfoji II of Tamil Nadu, sold for £6,000.
