NEW YORK, N.Y.- Haunch of Venison and HiArt! presents the Third Annual Changing the World through Art, a Gala and Art auction honoring two extraordinary artists - Ahmed Alsoudani and Leonardo Drew - and involving some of the world's leading artists. Works to be auctioned include paintings, drawings, sculptures and prints by Sarah Sze, Takashi Murakami, Nick Cave, Zefrey Throwell, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Mel Kendrick, David Humphrey, Rachel Howard, Sebastiaan Bremer, Rosy Keyser, Ellen Berkenblit, Spencer Tunick, Jon Kessler, Raphael Vargas-Suarez, among a long list of others who have very generously donated to this cause.

Time In is the most radical, interdisciplinary arts program for at-risk children in the world. An introduction to high art aesthetics combining opera through hands-on art with museum visits and gallery hops specializing in 20th & 21st century art, Time in brings entire classes of New York's youngest and most at-risk children out of Harlem and Bronx public schools and into the world of the living arts every single week of the school year, as part of their regular school day.

An exact replication of HiArt!, New York's most distinguished private children's arts program which has attracted such international notables as David Bowie, Mort Zuckerman, Hugh Jackman, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vindoodh Matadin, Annie Liebovitz, Judith & Luca Missoni, and so many more - Time In's kids - between the ages of 4.5 and 8 -- follow a schedule much like a Christie's or Sotheby's intern. This fall alone they have seen some of the year's most remarkable shows: DeKooning, Cattelan, Do Ho Such, Tabaimo, Nick Cave and Richard Serra. In Time In's light-filled Chelsea studio they spent three months learning Prokofiev's Love for Three Oranges through hands-on art.

Ahmed Alsoudani's turbulent paintings depict a disfigured tableau of war and atrocity. Although the content of the paintings draws on the artists' own experiences of recent wars in Iraq, the imagery of devastation and violence - often laced with a morbid and barbed humor - evoke a universal experience of conflict and human suffering. A graduate of the Yale School of Art, Alsoudani currently lives and works in New York.

Leonardo Drew began making art in a program much like Time In in the Bridgeport housing project in which he grew up. The artist's extraordinary talent was recognized early on, and he received his BFA from the prestigious Cooper Union. With his sculptural "paintings" in major museum collections throughout the world, Drew's refined aesthetic makes him one of the most sought after artists on the international art scene today.
