Hermes Exceptional Collection Shiny Rouge H Porosus Crocodile 30cm Birkin Bag with Solid 18K White Gold & Diamond Hardware. Pristine Condition, 12" width x 8" height x 6" depth Estimate: $80,000 - $90,000.

DALLAS, TX.- An Hermès Diamond Birkin, with Diamond and White Gold hardware - a beautiful example of one of the most exceptional handbags made - is expected to bring $80,000+ when it comes across the block on Dec. 6, as part of Heritage Auctions' Handbags & Luxury Accessories Signature® Auction at the company's Design District Annex, 1518 Slocum Street.

"As one of the rarest, most sought-after and valuable bags in the world, the Hermès Diamond Birkin - with a retail price more than $140,000 - should get significant attention," said Matthew Rubinger, Director of Luxury Accessories at Heritage. "It would make quite a Christmas for one savvy collector."

In compliment to the Diamond Birkin, Heritage will offer an Hermès Himalayan Crocodile Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware, in pristine condition, with an estimate of $60,000+.

"The Holiday Luxury auction has been carefully curated to feature some of the most sought-after, hardest-to-get and rarest bags and accessories in the world," said Rubinger. "Over the last year the category has gained traction with smart collectors, and an immense following, which has given Heritage the ability to pick and choose the very best pieces for this auction, with all the top names."

As evidenced by the top offerings in the auction, no name can trump Hermès in the world of high-end handbags, and no less that 20 Birkin bags and 20 Kelly bags anchor the 550+ luxury accessories in the auction, an Hermès Black Ardennes Leather Birkin Bag, with Gold hardware (Estimate: $7,000+) and an Hermès Orange H Clemence Leather Kelly Bag, with Palladium Hardware (Estimate: $6,000+) being two of the most sought-after of each.

Exotic handbags are always in demand and among those offered in the Heritage Dec. 6 auction is a trio sure to turn heads: An ultra rare Chanel Black Matte Crocodile Oversize Paris-Baritz Tote Bag, that retails for more than $30,000 is expected to bring $15,000+, while a very rare Yves St. Laurent Matte Chocolate Crocodile Large Muse Bag, with Gold Hardware is estimated at $7,000+ and a Giorgio Armani Runway Beige Matte Alligator Large Shoulder Bag, with Gold Hardware, which was released only in the flagships boutiques and carried an original retail of $25,000, is expected to bring $3,000+.

"The market for high-end accessories is very strong right now," said Rubinger. "It's an area of fashion that's been shown to hold and often increase its value and we're seeing sophisticated shoppers motivated to invest in special pieces like those we're offering here."

Evening bags are an ever-popular corner of the market, and the Heritage event features what may well be the most sought after evening bag in the world in the form of an extremely rare Judith Leiber Full Bead Sin City Vegas Minaudiere evening bag, estimated at $2,500+.

"This incredibly rare design by Judith Leiber is considered to be one of the most collectible ever produced by the brand," said Rubinger.

Further evening bag offerings include a Judith Leiber full bead multicolor Humpty Dumpty Minaudiere evening bag (Estimate: $2,000+), a Kathrine Baumann rare full bead Santa Minaudiere (Estimate: $2,000+) and a Marchesa limited edition Crystal Evening clutch (Estimate: $1,000+).

Jewelry is an increasingly popular wrinkle of the Luxury Accessories auctions at Heritage and the Dec. 6 auction contains several special examples for smart collectors, including an extremely rare Hermès Sterling Silver Collier de Chien PM Bracelet (Estimate: $1,500+), a Lanvin Rare Brown Wood, Ribbon and Link Necklace (Estimate: $300+) and a very rare Chanel Gripoix and Poured Glass Multicolor Flower and Pearl Necklace (Estimate: $700+).

Also in the sale is a unique sampling of vintage designers including Jacomo, Charles Jourdan, Renaud Pellegrino, Dumas, and Celine as well as classic and sought after travel pieces and trunks from Louis Vuitton, Hermès , and Fendi and vintage costume and fine jewelry from Hermès , Chanel and Lanvin.
