MONTEREY, CA.- The Monterey Museum of Art announces the opening of its Fall season exhibitions at the MMA-La Mirada located at 720 Via Mirada, Monterey, California, 93940.

Pop Icons: Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein features works on paper by two of the leading artists associated with the pop art movement. Additional

John Haley: Berkeley School Abstract Expressionist is a selection of abstract paintings by John Haley (1905 – 1991) from the collection of a several private lenders. The artist studied with Hans Hofmann in Germany in the 1920s and became an important and influential art instructor at UC Berkeley, promoting Hofmann’s modernist methods. He had a solo exhibition at San Francisco’s de Young Museum in 1980.

Cultural Collisions: Prints by Enrique Chagoya from the Collection of Jordan D. Schnitzer consists of a select representation of prints by San Francisco Bay area artist and Stanford University professor Enrique Chagoya. Chagoya, a renowned painter and printmaker, creates topical works that address political themes in a biting and satirically humorous tone.
