MADRID.- Actor Johnny Depp was in Spain last week, presenting his new film "The Tourist". After attending a press conference, he visited the "Guernica" at the
Museo Reina Sofia and compared it with the joy of drinking a glass of wine.
"Vewing Guernica and enjoying watching for as long as you want is like entering another dimension. It is a sensation that only happens in front of a painting by Picasso. Or with a glass of wine, said Johnny Depp, who saw the work of art at the Museo Reina Sofia along with a guide, during a break from the promotional tour of The Tourist. A great statement from the actor, who camouflaged in dark glasses and a hat, joked about the attraction that millions of women find in him even though he has an unkempt image. Sometimes I look dirty
and I am, he said. I am surprised to still be here and be offered movie roles. Each day is a victory, he said.
Angelina Jolie took advantage of her Spain promotional trip for "The Tourist" to drink in Spanish culture. Jolie told reporters Thursday she loves "Madrid and Barcelona mainly for art and great food." She added: "There are extraordinary museums and collections of art here."
"The Tourist" was nominated for the Golden Globe awards' best picture, best musical comedy actor and actress.
