AUSTIN, TX.- The Austin Museum of Art announced the lineup for its annual television showcase of international film and video, The Territory. Scheduled to debut its 32nd season on Tuesday, May 26 at 10 PM.

The Territory features fourteen programs that blend experimental, documentary, narrative and animated shorts from around the world. Produced by the Austin Museum of Art, the Southwest Alternate Media Project/Houston and KUHT-TV/Houston, The Territory will air weekly on KLRU-TV, Channel 9.
The Territory 32 highlights the work of artists from Texas, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, The Netherlands, Australia, Argentina, Columbia, Korea, and Israel. Within the 30-minute format, artists experiment with techniques and subjects in a condensed format similar to a short story. These film and video shorts are recognized as vibrant sub-genre of independent voices in the media world. The Territory brings these challenging works directly to the PBS television audience across Texas—thereby stretching conventional television boundaries.
