Heather James Fine Art Announces New Director Kimberly Nichols

PALM DESERT, CA.- Heather James Fine Art is pleased to announce the appointment of Kimberly Nichols as the new director of the gallery. Nichols will oversee the general operations of the new 8,500 square foot gallery in Palm Desert including marketing, public relations, event coordination, and community relations.

Prior to joining HJFA, Nichols was owner of KNR, Inc, a marketing and public relations firm devoted in large part to the art and culture industry, of which Heather James was a client. Before that she was Vice President of Accounts at Total Marketing Partners. Also, she was the Director of Communications for the Palm Springs Art Museum. She is a published author and a fine artist who's shown in galleries in Palm Desert, Palm Springs, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

"I am honored to be appointed Director of Heather James Fine Art," says Nichols. "As an artist and a marketing professional for the arts, I am thrilled to be on the ground floor of what will no doubt become the most exciting gallery in the valley. Not only will be showing world-class art across many genres but we will work hard to present our exhibitions with an educational component that informs the community about the art word at large. The art scene and community in the desert is on the verge of explosion and I feel privileged to be a part of such a high caliber component of that burgeoning arena."

Heather James Fine Art is located at 45188 Portola Avenue in Palm Desert and will feature a wide array of art ranging from Impressionist and Modern art to Post-War and Contemporary, American, Latin American, Old Master, Photography, and Design. The new fine art gallery is an expansion and evolution of the current Heather James Art and Antiquities, which continues to operate in the El Paseo location and to provide clients with the finest in cultural antiquities and ethnographic art from throughout the world.

Heather James Fine Art's Inaugural Exhibition will take place Saturday, November 29th from 6-9 P.M. For more information or to RSVP, please call Kimberly Nichols at 760.346.8926 or email kimberly@heatherjames.com
