Fluids: A Happening by Allan Kaprow at Los Angeles County Museum of Art |

LOS ANGELES-During three days, about twenty rectangular enclosures of ice blocks (measuring about 30 feet long, 10 wide and 8 high) are built throughout the city. Their walls are unbroken. They are left to melt.
On April 25, 26, and 27, 2008, in conjunction with the exhibition Allan KaprowArt As Life presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), LACMA will coordinate the reinvention of Allan Kaprow's Fluids. First realized for his 1967 exhibition at the Pasadena Art Museum, Fluids will be recreated by teams of volunteers at a wide range of sites across Los Angeles.
