Call For Artists For The 2008 Arts & Crafts Show



SANTA FE, NM.-Girls Incorporated of Santa Fe is currently accepting applications from fine artists and craftspeople to participate in our upcoming 36th annual Arts & Crafts Show, to be held Saturday, August 2, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the historic downtown Santa Fe Plaza.

The 2008 Arts & Crafts Show is a juried event, and will host over 250 artists. Over 30,000 visitors attend this Show each year.

Proceeds from the booth sales at the Arts & Crafts Show directly support Girls Inc. of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Girls Incorporated of Santa Fe, formerly known as the Girls Club, has been serving girls in Santa Fe since 1955. Our mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Girls Incorporated of Santa Fe is the local affiliate of Girls Incorporated, the national nonprofit youth organization dedicated to providing vital, innovative educational programs to girls, particularly those who are underserved or at risk.

Girls Inc. encourages girls to actively explore the world around them, find their own voice, and be responsible, confident and independent young women. Girls Inc. recognizes that girls are strong, smart, and bold and equips them with the tools to remain so in the face of societal pressure to conform to ever evolving gender stereotypes. Girls Inc. respects diversity of ideas and cultures and advocates for girls and young women in the community, and provides opportunities to all girls regardless of culture, race, disability or socioeconomic status. Our quality, affordable daily care for meets a critical need in the community. We actively advocate for community services for girls and their families, as well as advocate for and provide education, career and leadership development opportunities to prepare girls for the workforce.
