NAPLES.- - The Naples Art Association is proud to announce the four award winners selected during the Naples Renaissance Fall Art Festival on Nov. 24. The festival continues Sunday, Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along 10th Street South in Naples, near the Naples Depot. The event features 130 national, regional and local artists selling their original fine art works in various media. A suggested $2 donation benefits the education programs run by the Naples Art Association at The von Liebig Art Center.

Kathleen Dennison, jeweler and owner of Dennison- Moran Gallery, and Marti Hagaman, artist and art instructor, served as judges. They selected four winners as follows:

Best in Show 2 Dimensional - Christine Reichow. "Her delicately placed pigments reach and stretch to gently transform the viewer to another space," said Hagaman.

Best in Show 3 Dimensional - Gene Wilkinson. "The brilliant concepts in his sinewy organic forms captivated our interest and imagination," said Dennison.

Award of Merit in 2 Dimensional - Daniel Caldwell. "He has a fresh approach to his subject matter, and we liked the meaty, unbridled use of color," said Hagaman.

Award of Merit in 3 Dimensional - Antanas Ulevicius. "He demonstrated excellent craftsmanship and had exquisite, inventive forms," said Dennison.

In addition, Dennison and Hagaman selected six Judges Choice Awards as follows:

In 2 Dimension, selected by Hagaman: JoAnn Sanborn, whose paintings "had a dreamy appeal paired with skilled mastery"; Mihail Kivachitsky, "an excellent artist with vision and a keen ability to make his unknown known"; and Emily Gerrity, the festival's Developing Artist, who "although a neophyte, has remarkable skills and presents subjects that are bright and provocative."

In 3 Dimension, selected by Dennison: Larry East, whose work has "great shapes, textures and inventive use of materials"; Toby McGee, who creates "skillful blown glass vessels with wonderful colors and scenes"; and Brian Sykes, whose work demonstrated "high technical difficulty and interesting patterns that required extreme focus."
