BOGOTA, COLOMBIA.- The Museo Nacional de Colombia presents What we have left behind: forced displacement and rights in Colombia on July 23. The exhibition celebrates the year of the rights of displaced persons. The exhibition reaffirms the dignity of people that have been victims of forced displacement, recognizes their rights and promotes solidarity of citizens and the international community.
Paula Marcela Moreno Zapata, Minister of Culture, stated, This exhibition is part of the initiatives that international organizations such as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees with support from the Ministry of Culture to build a culture of peace in Colombia through artistic expressions. Its purpose is clearly to involve social regional agents that in the midst of daily violent situations bet on the institutionalism and the resolution of conflicts through pacific ways.
