BERLIN, GERMANY.- The Museum for Asian Art presents “Hyper Cities / Über Städte”, on view 7 September - 4 November 2007. An exhibition of the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) in collaboration with the Museum for Asian Art, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, within the framework of the Asian Pacific Weeks 2007.

The Asian Pacific Weeks are supported by the German Lottery Foundation Berlin [Stiftung Deutsche Klassenlotterie Berlin ]. The exhibition focuses on the experience of the city as an urban landscape; as a place of spectacle and consumption and as a site of radical social and architectural metamorphosis. It displays photographs, video works and a site-specific installation by thirteen artists from Germany , Japan , China and South Korea . A catalogue in German and English (ca.70 pages) accompanies the exhibition.
