FORT COLLINS, CO.- Museum of Art | Fort Collins will presents the exhibition Art & Access: New Directions in Prints and Multiples from Friday, October 2, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The exhibition features internationally acclaimed artists such as Banksy, Judy Chicago, Mickalene Thomas, Rachel Whiteread, Kehinde Wiley and many others.
Spanning a period from 1967 to 2026, this exhibition explores ways in which artists around the world have worked to make their vital creations accessible to broader audiences through prints and multiples. All included artworks are on loan from area private collections.
Art & Access: New Directions in Prints and Multiples is curated by Dr. Lynn Boland and Katherine McQueen. It was organized and scheduled by the museum last year, before Boland took the role of Executive Director at MoA. It originates from a desire to counter a common misperception that contemporary art is all wildly expensive, only available in the six- and seven-figure ranges and only for the ultra rich. While affordability is relative, with most of the original purchase prices for artworks in the exhibition ranging between $25 and $2,500, it demonstrates the high caliber of art that can be obtained by a wide range of art lovers.
As part of the MoA for All initiative, for the duration of the show, the museum will offer free admission every Sunday, in addition to its regular free admission during First Friday Art Walk.
Katherine McQueen received her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), then served first as Education Director and then as Gallery Director at the not-for-profit gallery Women & Their Work (Austin, TX). Later, while working as a graphic designer in Athens, Georgia, she helped to curate and direct ATHICA (Athens Institute of Contemporary Art). Now in Fort Collins, Colorado, McQueen works as a custom fine art framer and as an art appraiser (member of the International Society of Appraisers), in addition to her work as a curator. She directs the exhibition and project platform Art + Access and through it, organizes the project Deck of Art Fort Collins.
Lynn Boland received their PhD in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on connections between art, music, and science in the early 20th century, with a secondary specialization in contemporary art. Since then, they have served as a curator of the art museum at the University of Georgia, as director and chief curator of the art museum at Colorado State University, and, in 20252026, as an independent art curator and advisor. Boland has been Executive Director at MoA since July 2026. Boland and McQueen have been married since 2005.
