NEW YORK, NY.- In response to the continued demand for the program,
Eli Wilner & Company funding partners have committed an additional $200,000 for the October 2026 funding cycle. These funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis through October 31st, 2026, or until the funds are fully committed.
Eli Wilner & Company has announced that all funding allocated through its museum grant program for September 2026 has been fully committed in support of reframing and frame restoration projects at museums and cultural institutions nationwide.
The grants are intended to offset a portion of the cost of qualifying frame restoration and reframing projects. Recipient institutions are required to participate in the cost of the project, while grant funding covers the remaining approved portion. This shared-cost approach enables museums to undertake important projects that might otherwise be postponed due to budget limitations.
New applications are currently being accepted via email at

Among the projects recently supported through the program is the reframing of Maurice Brazil Prendergasts Pavillion by the Sea, c. 1907-10, in the collection of the New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA). Eli Wilner & Company created a 1 ¾ inch wide carved, gilded and incised replica based on the frame on Maurice Prendergasts On the Beach, No. 3 (c. 1915) that is housed in the Cleveland Museum of Art. This original frame was crafted by the artist's brother, Charles Prendergast. The Wilner replica frame for NBMAA features a gilded back panel to reveal a secondary painting on the verso that was discovered by the museums preparatory team.
Since the inception of the Eli Wilner Frame Funding Program, grants have supported projects at a broad range of institutions, including the Akron Art Museum, Birmingham Museum of Art, Chazen Museum of Art, Cincinnati Art Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, Drayton Hall Preservation Trust, Fenimore Art Museum, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Joslyn Art Museum, Krannert Art Museum, Memorial Art Gallery, Milwaukee Art Museum, Morris Museum, Museum of the City of New York, Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, New Britain Museum of American Art, the New-York Historical Society, Parrish Art Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, RISD Museum, The Ringling, San Antonio Museum of Art, Seattle Art Museum, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Solomon R.
