BOLZANO.- Ar/Ge Kunst’s fall–winter 2026–27 exhibition program unfolds through three exhibitions by Nataliya Zuban, Reem Masri, and Yadykar Ibraimov. Taken together, the three exhibitions are vigilant toward the present, approaching it not as a stable point in time, but as a condition of unseparated experience. That these geographies of genocide, invasion, and incarceration belong to each other, are each other’s missing dark water, and that each of them are ours, is the question and the research of this cycle of exhibitions.

Nataliya Zuban: Condition of Suspended Present
September 10–November 14, 2026

Condition of Suspended Present is an exhibition in which ceramics, machines, and sound give material form to states of waiting. Nataliya Zuban’s sculptures are subjected to processes of gradual destruction: clocks struggle to mark time, ceramic forms break down, and fragments are ground back into matter. Works that recall the antidrone nets covering streets in frontline cities of Ukraine bracket the exhibition: at once suggesting protective barriers and closed borders. Nataliya Zuban is a Ukrainian artist born in Opishnia in 1992, whose practice is rooted in ceramics and their transformation through mechanical, temporal, and destructive processes. She currently works between Ukraine and the Netherlands.

Novellas is a series of publications by Ar/Ge Kunst of experimental contemporary writing. The 15th edition of Novellas features a photo-essay, An Evening in Kyiv, and a work of fiction, Tender-Faced Friend, by Yevgenia Belorusets. The latter manifests the destruction of language, of testimony, and of the very possibility of speaking.

Reem Masri: Time of Monsters
November 26, 2026–February 13, 2027

Time of Monsters traces a distinct, intense line through Reem Masri´s practice, from 2018 to the present. Masri’s practice has long explored the relationship between land and memory. In her exhibition, Time of Monsters, body and land emerge as terrains that can be occupied, tumored, carved, and contested: their spaces are altered, fragmented, disfigured. Masri collapses the distance between the idea of an occupied body and occupied land, approaching both as sites in which vulnerability, violence, memory and persistence are inscribed. Reem Masri is a Palestinian visual artist, born in Jerusalem in 1991, whose practice spans painting, drawing, collage, and installation. She is a part-time instructor at Birzeit University’s Faculty of Art, Music and Design, in Ramallah.





On November 23, Reem Masri will give a lecture in Bolzano on her artistic practice and teaching. Yasmin Riyahi, postdoctoral fellow at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence, will present her research on the reception of contemporary Palestinian art in Italy. The lectures will be followed by a discussion moderated by Davide Ferrando, architecture critic, curator, and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Design and Art at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Yadykar Ibraimov: Yoshurun qorghan [Hidden fortress]
February 26–May 8, 2027

Yoshurun qorghan [Hidden fortress] is a journey through an infinite poetry of pain and the infinite poetry of life, in an endeavor to look closely at a genocide. The exhibition becomes a question to the system that lets it happen without accountability. Passing through landscapes, faces, gestures, songs, it moves across photography, video, and fragments of testimony, following the passage of Uyghur stories between borders and generations. Yadykar Ibraimov is an Uyghur artist born in Almaty in 1990, working with documentary film, photography, and literature. His work traces the human cost of the Uyghur genocide—following survivors, borderlands, and silences across Central Asia and beyond. He recently moved to Paderborn, Germany.

Ar/Ge Kunst is a Kunstverein in Bozen-Bolzano. Its exhibitions, live acts, publication and podcast series are curated and directed by Zasha Colah and Francesca Verga.
