DAVIS, CA.- Woody De Othello's major solo exhibition, "coming forth by day," opens at the Manetti Shrem Museum of Art at the University of California, Davis on August 12.

"coming forth by day" is designed as an embodied, sensory experience featuring ceramic, wood, stone, and glass sculptures, a sound score, and custom scents alongside a new bronze sculpture commissioned for the University. The exhibition is organized by Susie Kantor, Associate Curator & Exhibition Department Head.

Originating at Pérez Art Museum Miami, the exhibition was curated by PAMM Curator Jennifer Inacio, with the support of Curatorial Assistant Fabiana A. Sotillo, and is accompanied by a hardcover monograph with essays by Inacio, PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans, curator Jareh Das, and interviews by Dionne Lee and Larry Ossei-Mensah.
