Patricia Low Contemporary in Venice announces new Mario Testino exhibition

VENICE.- Patricia Low Contemporary, Venice announces the opening of a new exhibition featuring Mario Testino.

Following his recent exhibition at Patricia Low in Gstaad, Mario Testino returns with a new body of work that builds upon his continuing exploration of beauty, identity and place. Just as his Gstaad exhibition reimagined the Swiss Alps through an idealised folkloric lens, this latest presentation is expected to offer a similarly poetic interpretation of Venice. Responding to the city's unique atmosphere and cultural legacy, the exhibition reflects Testino's fascination with photography as a medium capable of transforming both subject and setting into timeless, idealised visions.

Mario Testino OBE is widely regarded as one of the most influential fashion and portrait photographers of his generation. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has built an unmistakable visual language, celebrated for its vitality, elegance, sensuality and immediacy. Working across fashion, portraiture and cultural projects, Testino has shaped the image of contemporary glamour while maintaining a strong connection to identity, tradition and human presence.

Born in Lima in 1954, Testino moved to London in 1976, where he began developing his practice after training in photographic studios. Far from the worlds of fashion and celebrity in which he would later become a defining figure, his early life in Peru, along with formative periods spent in Brazil, continued to inform his visual sensibility. This personal background helped him create a style that feels at once polished and instinctive, combining spontaneity with emotional clarity.
