STORRS, CT.- The William Benton Museum of Art presents Tradition and Innovation: Latin American Art from the Benton Collection, on view through June 17. Tradition and Innovation presents the work of Latin American artists, including Brazilian Sebastiao Salgado, Mexicans Jose Luis Cuevas and Graciela Iturbide, and Guatemalan Luis Gonzalez Palma. Their work, in media ranging from drawing and printmaking to photography, draws inspiration and meaning from the past, weaving together complex images that focus largely on narrative content and the human figure.
