PORTO.- Circuitos’26 is the third edition of an initiative that aims to highlight the people, spaces and projects that shape the cultural fabric of Porto. Held from July 17 to 19, 2026, this city-wide programme invites the public to engage more closely with Porto’s vital and diverse contemporary art scene.
More than 60 venues—including museums, artist-run spaces, project rooms, independent studios and commercial galleries—open their doors for three days. The programme includes a wide range of events across the city, from exhibition openings to performances, and from concerts to talks and informal gatherings. A pre-opening event on July 16 at the Acoustic Shel in the Gardens of Palácio de Cristal, sets the tone for the days ahead, with concerts by Conferência Inferno, B Fachada and Pongo.
Circuitos’26 is rooted in the local scene yet also draws attention to broader conversations around artistic practice, access, distribution and visibility. It provides a shared moment for reflection, celebration and encounter – not only among artists and cultural workers, but between institutions and independent initiatives, established audiences and new publics.
Promoted by the Department of Contemporary Art and Galeria Municipal do Porto, this edition cements the event’s reputation as a key platform for mapping and connecting the city’s contemporary art ecosystem.
The Map of Contemporary Art in Porto—launched during last year’s edition—is available as an interactive tool for residents and visitors to engage and navigate the city’s artistic landscape during Circuitos'26 and throughout the year as a permanent gesture by the Department of Contemporary Art and Galeria Municipal do Porto.
