|
WASHINGTON, DC.- Modern, contemporary & cutting edge work of the highest quality define this countrys newest art fair. artDC brings 80 prominent modern and contemporary galleries from around the world to the Washington Convention Center, April 27-30. On view and available for purchase are 20th and 21st century paintings, sculpture, prints and drawings, photography and video.
Be among the first to view the inaugural fair while supporting a fantastic arts group! artDCs opening night fundraiser on Thursday, April 26 benefits the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington, an umbrella group for non-profit organizations promoting culture to businesses in the 4-county DC region. The CAGW (www.cultural-alliance.org) reflects the fairs mission to bring attention to both the non-profit art organizations and the flourishing gallery scene. artDC and CAGW share the goal of letting the world know that the Capital Region is an important arts destination.
DC provides tourists and residents alike with a magnificent cultural tapestry of art institutions, museums and galleries to enjoy. artDC is designed to become a part of this unique, culturally attuned market and to offer a new dimension to art enthusiasts and collectors who enjoy, appreciate and buy art. The Washington, DC region has the audience, the infrastructure and the talent to be a serious player in the international art scene.
